We provide a complete end to end development of mobile web sites or applications. We specialize in extending the functionality of existing legacy or ERP systems to mobile. Our designers and project managers work with you face to face to understand your business. We use this knowledge to develop screen flows and other design documents so all elements of the organization affected by process can contribute to the effort. The process of collaborative visual design helps ensure that the intended app will meet your expectations and help identify down stream processes that will benefit from the change as well.
Once the process of collaborative visual design is complete, we walk you through the “buy vs. build” process of determining how the mobile environment should be built, to minimize cost and risk while maximizing the ability to administer, maintain and extend your mobile environment into the future.
When we put it all together, we use “near sourcing” to bring the right combination of talent to the table in the fastest, cost efficient and reliable means possible.
Once the project is successfully completed we have a 10 year track record of maintaining and supporting mobile environments for large companies. Call us and discuss your ideas for improving your organization through mobile.
3rd Party Distributor Route Management
Imagine small communities with 1 or 2 large customers 2 or more hours away from your closest distribution center. The area won't support a small branch and a 4 hour stem kills route productivity for the day. Imagine recruiting a small distributor that can handle your items and distribute to even a greater number of local customers with whom you aren't aware. You've turned a wasted route day each week into a very lucrative 1 month drop. The large customers may tax the distributor's ability to handle the receivables and the customer may not want multiple bills. Our web based solution handles deliveries, acceptance and billing to the distributors while allowing the distributor's to "bill through" deliveries to your large accounts. Your billing remains consolidated to your larger accounts, you save operationally and the distributor may give you volume lift that wasn't accessible before.
Geographically remote regions represent a real dilemma with extended time for delivery to fewer customers.
CEdge's RouteXL enables the use of 3rd party independent distributors, along with the ability to bill large accounts in a consolidated fashion. See our RouteXL product here.
Mobile Bill Pay
Sending invoices or overdue "reminders" through email is nothing new. What if your customers read most of their email on a mobile phone? Could they even read it? The call to action like "Please remit promptly, your account is overdue" and then you are taken to some arcane billing site where you have to enter a ton of information to try to pay the bill. Not getting the result you were looking for?
Busy consumers often overlook the smaller bills. Delayed payments affect your cash flow.
We can help you get paid faster without the hassle and cost of collection calls. We use an integrated mobile website to send out overdue invoices through email, viewable on any modern smart phone and conveniently remit through PayPal. Route Management Systems
Very small distributors who use Direct Store Delivery are critical to providing unique products to retailers at small volumes and high turns. Large retail chains are requiring smaller distributors to become EDI compliant. Route management solutions offering DEX can cost about $40,000. We are working with retailers and distributors with 1 to 3 routes in developing a solution that allows the flexibility of open stock delivery like DEX, but doesn't need expensive equipment because deliveries are transmitted via NEX. The key to making this work is developing a "predicted order" that is accurate within 85 to 90% at the line item level. Line item quantity accuracy is not as critical because the receiver can adjust quantities when received at the store. Small distributors can implement this system for less than $5,000 dollars, generally within a month.
Distributors need to effectively organize delivery, route scheduling and pricing in a way that works for distribution and retail. Success in small distribution is dependant on minimizing these challenges with technology.
CEdge has developed oNEX, a small windows based application that interfaces with commercial electronic data interchange (EDI) providers such as groceryec.com. oNex also maintains customer pricing, schedules routes and generates invoices.
Special events are a great way to engage a highly specific group of people. The general idea is that you provide an app that is useful to the people going to the event, event schedules, updates, maps etc. , but also focused on the content that you want to promote. For example, a music promoter records live performances at a multi week concert, and offers the music for sale over the iTunes store.
Special events provide a real challenge in terms of promotion, on site sales, and providing people with timely and useful information for participants.
CEdge specializes in mobile application and web site development. Our mobile applications and sites feature marketing and social media tools, geo-location technology, schedules, on site sales and more. With mobile technology you will have the opportunity to engage event participants before and after the event ensuring ongoing communication with your customer base. Mobile and Web Order Entry
Order entry is where the rubber meets the road. It's the sale, the transaction, your cash register. There are lots of great e-commerce packages that can handle web and even mobile order entry very well. For those of you who do not have a Web Catalog, E-commerce and Product Management Information systems, this becomes more of a problem. What if your mobile order entry requirements really consist of scheduling a service or workflow based such as quotes/scheduling/service completion, or is used by internal sales staff in the wholesale trade? This is where we can help by bringing a mobile layer that we can attach via file transfer to almost any existing back end system. You keep what you know and extend its lifespan with mobile.
Order Entry is at the heart of many repetitive business transactions. Order entry issues reflect negatively on your business and can cause loss of sales.
Are all your customers treated the same way? Do they all have the same pricing? Do you remember what they regularly order? Can they add new "ship to" locations? Can new customers sign up and order right away?
We have extensive expertise in developing custom order entry solutions for web and mobile with complex points of entry and the business rules for fulfillment. Our experience includes front end customer qualification, quotation, integration with warehouse systems, billing systems and route scheduling. Call to discuss or experience and your requirements directly.
